Hope y'all have had a good week this week!
It's been quite eventful. There has been a cold front coming through so the weather has been AMAZING! (God is so good.)
We played bean-boozled this week as a quadpan, which made for some pretty hilarious videos (which you will never see, unless you ask me personally.)
Our car FINALLY got finished this week too! Yay for no longer being carless.
We had this amazing referral from the elders. She is the cutest ever and she is super sweet. She told me she was a visual learner so to teach her the Restoration, I pulled out my can of play-doh. (Thanks to my bff Jessi for sending it to me randomly and for me carrying it in my backpack for two whole months. Cheers.) And it went so well! She said it was the best lesson she has ever had! She said that she used to eat play-doh so I kept it away from her during the lesson and she may or may not have convinced me to try it and I may or may not think it is too salty.
We also had a member tell us for a solid 2 hours about how the rapture is coming in 10 days. So y'all better get prepared.
Then we went to our ward's trunk or treat. Baby J was a princess and I was a deer. (the amount of deer puns were insane.) We got to go on a mini hay ride around the parking lot and got to see the temple so it was beautiful for sure. Then they split up the leftover food between the elders and us. They gave us each 32 hot dogs and hot dog buns. THIRTY FREAKING TWO hotdogs!
Then we went to visit a recent convert. Her daughter was there (who has recently not had a very open mind) and we just visited with them. Then the next day at church the recent convert came up to us and said that her daughters told her that she has finally found the right church and they were asking about the Book of Mormon, which was way cool!
We went and visited a member family who is never not at church but they weren't there this Sunday. So we went to visit them to see why they were gone. Turns out that he had fallen on a walk and he had to get stitches on his eye and wraps on his hands. It was so sad! But they are the best couple ever. He is super Cajun and they fed us jambalaya, talked to us about Cajun recipes and jokes, and to top it all off he sang us a Cajun song. (which I included, you're welcome.)
LASTLY, this morning we went to Coffee Call (The Café du Monde of Baton Rouge) and had my first beignets with hot chocolate. 10/10 yall.
